What does a group look like?
Well, we have two main types of groups at Valley Church Clinton, both with distinct features that may match your current life situations.
Community groups are the primary place the people of Valley Clinton will have to build relationships where we share our faith journeys. Just as an over-arching purpose of Valley Clinton is to make disciples, so too is it the purpose of community groups. This is where we will create space for God to grow us as disciples of Christ by sharing our challenges, successes, and faith experiences. A community group is simply a normal small group where you get together on a regular basssis in loving community.
Community Groups
Deeper groups, on the other hand, will be much more directed and focused on a particular subject. Where community groups are more general and evergreen in nature, deeper groups will meet for a particular purpose for a set amount of time. For example, a deeper group may study the book of Romans, or explore a spiritual discipline together like fasting, or study atonement theories. These will be a slightly deeper level of commitment and expectation, but have the potential to yield great faith results.
